Problem with "Gradle sync failed: Could not find any matches for com.android.tools.build:gradle:2.2.+"

1

Today in the morning I went to start my project in react-native and I have not managed to compile it for android.

I get this fault.

"Gradle sync failed: Could not find any matches for com.android.tools.build:gradle:2.2.+ as not versions of com.android.tools.build:gradle are available.             Searched in the following locations:              link              link             Required by:             project: react-native-image-picker             Consult IDE log for more details (Help | Show Log) (10s 971ms) "

I've been trying things for a long time, I've found here and in other forums, but I can not get it to compile.

I put the code to see if anyone knows what is happening to me.

For some reason Google decided to remove the old gradle , a temporary solution to this is to add these lines to your build.gradle file in the android folder, like you, I also use the react-native-vector-icons library so I added it to the validation.

android / build.gradle

subprojects { subproject ->
    if (subproject.name.contains('react-native-image-picker') || subproject.name.contains('react-native-vector-icons')){
        buildscript {
            repositories {
                maven { url "https://dl.bintray.com/android/android-tools/"  }
            }
        }
    }
}

This solution I took from this comment , in this issue reported in the library

Solved:

In \ node_modules \ react-native-image-picker \ android \ build.gradle

repositories {
    google()
    jcenter()
}
dependencies {
   classpath 'com.android.tools.build:gradle:3.1.4'
}

That works for me.

has worked for me:

android / build.gradle

subprojects { subproject ->
    if (subproject.name.contains('react-native-image-picker') || subproject.name.contains('react-native-vector-icons') || subproject.name.contains('react-native-modal-translucent')){
        buildscript {
            repositories {
                maven { url "https://dl.bintray.com/android/android-tools/"  }
            }
        }
    }
}
