I have a dilemma that I can not resolve and I would greatly appreciate who could give me a hand.
We are putting together a system for a client, and it turns out that it is a system for a very particular business model. The fact is that the client was managed years ago with an old system that uses fax.
The guy has clients who send him a fax to send him data. In the new system that we are doing is going to implement everything online, but also this person wants to have the fax system available in case the internet connection falls or there is a problem with the server, the need to have an immediate means of communication and reliable with customers.
The problem is that you want the system that we are doing to work with faxes in the same way as the old system that he has.
The system works like this:
He calls his client and asks him to send the information by fax, the client without hanging the phone touches a certain key on his system to send the fax (the line is connected to a pci modem on the pc), the call they have in progress is interrupted, but without being cut, and a progress bar appears on the client's PC, which when it reaches 100% the fax is transmitted, and the telephone communication is resumed.
My problem is that I do not know how to run the fax in this way, I was watching with the windows assistant and send everything well but as long as the other side has a fax in automatic mode to receive, but the client does not you want this automatic mode, you want it to continue working in the same way.
I thought about looking for a program that handles fax made in visual and to make the call to that program when sending the fax but I have not found much.
Does anyone have any ideas?
