I am new to the Wordpress theme, I would appreciate them helping me solve the following problem I have, for a university theme I need to set up a simple web page on my hosting and I found some .zip templates to import them into WordPress but when installing them I the following error appears:
try to upload it by FTP and the WP what it shows is another error which is the following:

So I see the theme that you want to install is a child theme (son theme), so you have to install the theme 'father' to use that theme. Maybe the 'Elegant' theme needs another one to be used.
Normally the themes that are like that in the style.css file comes the theme you need, an example:

By doing tests, the error is caused by the lack of the file index.php in the theme, tries to generate the file (by putting HTML code with the information of the theme or simply generating the file), or returns to obtain the theme since It is incomplete.
