Angular Route version

I'm new to this. I am using version 1.6.4 of Angular and I am following a tutorial to implement navigation by routes <script src="bower_components/angular/angular-route.min.js"></script> but apparently this version does not work. I tried a lower version (for example, 1.5.0 and if it works, is there an alternative?)
