For reasons of compatibility of various applications I have to update from Windows 2007 to 2010 the desktop computer with which I work.
I have Windows 2010 on a laptop (which I do not use professionally) so I know the huge amount of processes (store, cortana, superfetch, and a long etc. ad infinitum) that run without permission in the background without even giving the user the option to disable them. If I'm not wrong, with the OEM version (the one that carries my laptop) there are no configuration options so that the user can stop this orgy of waste by consuming resources.
My question is:
In the Windows 10 Pro version is it possible to effectively disable all this process pack ?
If the answer is negative, I do not rule out going to Linux or even to Mac. But it would have to be very hard because I've been familiar with Windows (MS-DOS, XP, ... until today) as a user and programming That is to say, in spite of the regrets I would prefer to continue in Windows.
Thanks
