Configure websocket in PHP on my VPS

I did a chat which uses a websocket with PHP, the problem is that on my computer, the normal socket works, but when I upload it to my VPS the socket is normally executed with the php -q server.php command but when I connect from the client, stays in status connecting until the timeout and does not connect, I do not understand why.
