<beans:beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

        <beans:property name="suffix" value=".jsp" />
    </beans:bean>
    <context:component-scan base-package="com.oneseven.demo" />
</beans:beans>

and my home.jsp file:

<%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" prefix="c" %>
<%@ page session="false" %>
<html>
<head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">

    <script src="webjars/jquery/jquery.js"></script-->
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $( document ).ready(function() {
        $("#btn_guardar").click(function () {
            $("#prueba").val("cambio");
        });
    });
    </script>

</head>
<body>
<div class="jumbotron">
        <div class="container"><!-- Permite centrar el contenido -->
            <h1>Hello world!</h1>
            <p><a class="btn btn-primary btn-ld" role="button">Leer mas</a></p>
        </div>
</div>
<input type="text" id="prueba" value=""/>
<input type="button" id="boton" value="prueba" />
<P> The time on the server is ${serverTime}. </P>
</body>
</html>

And what happens to me is that when trying to load bootstrap and jquery in the jsp the css work but the js thunder

What am I doing wrong?

I already managed to fix it, the jquery route in the jsp was wrong and in the wrong order. Fix it like this:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="webjars/bootstrap/4.0.0/css/bootstrap.css">
<script type="text/javascript" src="webjars/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="webjars/bootstrap/4.0.0/js/bootstrap.js"></script>
