Configure the manage.py and settings.py files correctly in a web project

0

I am developing a scientific web project in django and although my web works, I must have something wrong configured in the manage.py and settings.py files. If you can help me and tell me what changes I should make in these files, it would be very helpful, because I have no training and it is very difficult for me to proceed to production correctly.

manage.py:

#!/usr/bin/env python
import os
import sys

if __name__ == "__main__":
os.environ.setdefault("DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE", "geologyacademy.settings")
try:
    from django.core.management import execute_from_command_line
except ImportError as exc:
    raise ImportError(
        "Couldn't import Django. Are you sure it's installed and "
        "available on your PYTHONPATH environment variable? Did you "
        "forget to activate a virtual environment?"
    ) from exc
execute_from_command_line(sys.argv)

settings.py:

"""
Django settings for  project.

Generated by 'django-admin startproject' using Django 2.0.

https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/2.0/topics/settings/

"""

import os

# Build paths inside the project like this: os.path.join(BASE_DIR,
...)
BASE_DIR = os.path.dirname(os.path.dirname(os.path.abspath(__file__)))

The structure on my server is the following: 1. / 2.home 3.user 4.mysite 5.myapps .... 5.static 5.venv 4.static Security is not a problem, it is a website for science students. Thanks in advance.
