I have installed mod_evasive
in my CentOS 7.3 and thus test the Perl of tests.
As expected, I'm throwing error 403. Modified the evasive configuration file so that it pops up when reloading the page twice in less than 2 seconds (as a test from a browser).
It turns out that mod_evasive
is blocking the IP of the server and not the computer that makes the requests.
That is, if the module skips, it does not block the IP of the one that accesses (client) but the access (server) IP, leaving the error 403 for everyone.
What is happening?
Is it a bad installation or am I missing something?
add that I use apache next to ngnix
