I want to make a blog, and over time add functionalities such as monetization, SEO among other things. I have recently seen that Wordpress is taking a good reputation in the market, when from my perspective it could be a packaged software that limits me in the features I want to add in the future. One of the main doubts that I have is how I would add monetization if I use this tool and if it would charge some commission.

If you are not in a hurry, take your time to make your site native and as you progress, you adapt it to your needs.
