Remove the domain from the team [closed]

-1

I have a computer with Windows 8.1, which was once part of a domain, mostly to have certain shared folders; but it's been about 2 years since I stopped using the computer with my user account. The problem is that I have been having certain errors without any message, and when I see the Event Viewer, I only see things related to the fact that the domain can not be found. My user account is of the Administrator type. Also I just enabled the Administrator account.

My question is, if I remove the domain of the team, can I continue entering with my user account? What implications could the removal of the domain have if I only occupy it locally?

To remove the computer from the domain Team - > Properties - > Change settings In the "Team Name" tab you have an option to change. You will need Domain Administrator permissions.

First of all, keep in mind that domain accounts (DOMAIN \ UserName or UserName @ DOMAIN will be deleted from the computer

You can create accounts called "local" that will still exist in the team despite removing it from the Domain.

As an observation I would say that removing a computer from a domain may be blocked by security policies. In that case, it only remains to make a copy of what is important, format and restore the folders.
