My problem is that I have an OLAP data cube with which I only have permission to access with the MDX instructions (Microsoft Analysis Services) then I want to work with that data in R project so that it is easier for me to do the statistical techniques but I do not look for how to access them, I have read a lot of information but I only find the connections to SQL Server,

Microsoft has a package to connect to is the olapR, but when trying to install it in R Version 3.4.1 it tells me that they are not compatible, I am trying to find other packages that help me make the connection,

Because you do not try to connect using the R Microsoft Client . The documentation also mention that the connector is for SQL Server 2016 and you also need to have read access to Analysis Services.
