Install graphical environment in VPS Linux? [closed]

0

Good afternoon! I am new to server management Linux , I have a VPS Centros 6.9 that I buy to try and experience. I have access SSH and I have installed the WHM y CPANEL .

My question is if I can install a graphic desktop, type XFCE that consumes little resources.

I think so because because of the console I can do it, but can I keep the WHM and CPANEL working?

And since I would connect via a remote desktop, can I do it by console, too?

Thanks !!

I personally do not recommend it, the ideal is to use the VPS through the bash because the graphical environment although it does not match if it consumes resources that you could use very well for more important processes since that is what the administration is about of systems, take advantage of resources in the ideal way and optimize the system as much as possible.

It is not necessary to install the entire environment, nor does it start anything in the VPS. You just have to make the X tunnel through ssh and put from where you connect an X server.

In windows the easiest thing is to install mobaxterm that has it all included, you connect by ssh and execute for example xterm and thus you verify that it works. If you need to navigate from the VPS, install the firefox, execute it in the ssh and it will open on your screen.
