We currently have two computers that make the bdd server for an electronic agenda:
Core 2 Duo 2 GB RAM 1 TB HDD Windows server 2008
This team has been working for two years and it is going to change because it has started to fail from time to time.
The team that replaces it is an HP Proliant with a
Xeon 6-core 32 GB of RAM 4 TB HDD in Raid 0 Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS
The problem we have is that when we migrate the bdd from Windows to ubuntu, the queries to the bdd run too slow and some functionalities of the system are broken when generating pdf reports.
For example, when calling a view on the machine with windows, the execution time of the query is < 1 sec while on the machine with ubuntu the execution time oscillates around ~ 41 seconds (executed from workbench).
Both instances of Mysql have the default configuration when installed, and the version is 5.6 in both.
I have no idea where to review since I do not have much experience using linux.
